This photo shows a paper towel cylinder, divided into three pieces on the band saw.... could possibly make four.
I then scissored up into the cylinder, in four equal places, (EG on a clock face 1/4 past. 1/2 past, 1/4 to and o'clock.)
I bent the cardboard back...as in photo, then folded the flaps back into the cylinder as they do with cardboard boxes. I should add ...for my example I have made the flaps a bit long, purely so it is easier to photograph.
The second little fellow is the end result. I am chuffed at our little experiment....as to the end result ...shall wait and see. I imagine no worries if the seeds germinate,........as this will result in very little disturbance of their roots.
